After breakfast, anyone who wants to can take an optional excursion to the temples of Abu Simbel, which comes highly recommended.
Then, back on the boat, we’ll eat and begin to sail along the Nile, arriving at the Kom Ombo Temple at sunset, one of the images of Egypt which will stay with you for life. Then having visited the temple, we’ll continue sailing towards Edfu, where we’ll drop anchor to eat dinner and spend the night.
Once we’ve eaten and with batteries fully charged, we’ll visit the Edfu Temple, dedicated to the God Horus. The cruise will then continue on its way towards Esna, where we’ll cross the famous floodgate.
Having arrived at the majestic city of Luxor we’ll visit two of the most spectacular temples in the country, the Luxor and Karnak temples. These temples were separated in antiquity by the 3-kilometre-long Avenue of the Sphinxes. Here we’ll eat and spend the night anchored in Luxor.
Having eaten and checked out, around 6 am we’ll hit the road towards the giant necropoles nearby. We’ll visit the Valley of the Kings (taking a look inside three of the tombs) the Hatshepsut Temple (dedicated to the only woman to rule over Egypt for an extended period of time) and the Colossi of Memnon. The tour then finishes at around 4:30 pm, then we’ll take you to the Luxor airport, the train station, or whichever point in the city you would like.
There are 2 different categories of boats to choose from:
The specific boat will be assigned a week before the activity begins.
All of these boats offer comfort and are a good option to make the most of the cruise. If you’re looking for a more luxurious option, we recommend the two luxury cruises, their rooms, service and food have that extra special touch.
If you book a standard category, the first day you get to Aswan whenever you want, and the same applies to the premium category if you arrive on a Friday. However, if you have booked a premium category with arrival on a Wednesday, you must be in Aswan before midday, since you’ll join a tour on that day.
Please note: The price indicated is per person in a double room or cabin. People traveling alone will have to pay a single supplement. Children over 12 years of age are considered adults. If you need an extra bed in the double room, please let us know in the comments section during the booking process (the price in this case is the same as for the double room).
There are no 4-person rooms, but if you’re traveling in a group, you can ask for adjoining rooms (depending on availability). Please let us know in the comments during the booking process.
The order of the activities may change depending on the boat, but you’ll always enjoy all of the activities indicated in the itinerary. Once on the boat, you can also reserve additional visits not included in the tour, such as the Valley of the Queens, Deir el-Medina or the Unfinished Obelisk.
From 20th December to 2nd January (Christmas), and during Easter, refunds will not be available in the event of cancellation.
